On 6 November 2026, composer and pianist Arashk Azizi invites audiences to an intimate evening of romantic piano music and exceptional non-alcoholic drinks at Nullijook in Tallinn.
As autumn settles over Tallinn and November brings its characteristic darkness and melancholy, The Sound of Zero offers a different way to experience the season: through the meeting of music, taste and imagination.
Organised in collaboration with Nullijook, a pioneering Tallinn venue dedicated to the world of alcohol-free drinks, this special event brings together live piano performance and a curated tasting experience. Throughout the evening, guests will discover three carefully selected non-alcoholic drinks, each introduced by Sietse from Nullijook, who will share the stories, craftsmanship and flavours behind them.
Responding to the character of each drink, composer and pianist Arashk Azizi will create a series of intimate piano poems, combining pre-composed musical ideas with spontaneous improvisation. The musical programme will draw inspiration from some of the greatest masterpieces of classical music, with improvisations built around themes by Frédéric Chopin, Ludwig van Beethoven and Erik Satie. Rather than simply reproducing familiar compositions, Arashk will reinterpret their musical ideas, transforming them into personal and spontaneous expressions.
Tender melodies, nostalgic harmonies and moments of longing will guide the audience through an emotional journey shaped by the romantic piano tradition. Each performance will become a small musical story, where classical influences meet improvisation and the atmosphere of a rainy November evening.
More than a concert or a tasting, The Sound of Zero is an invitation to slow down, explore new sensations and discover the unexpected connections between music and flavour.
