Free event, 1‑hour event bridging music, theatre and philosophy
Tallinn’s Peeter Süda Hall of the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum will host a unique, participatory evening as the touring production MANUS comes to Estonia. The show, free to attend and suitable for all ages, brings together soprano Seren Akyoldaş, tenor Emre Oktayoğlu, pianist Rûbar Dindar and the internationally acclaimed KeKeÇa Body Percussion Ensemble in a 60‑minute exploration of sound and thought.
MANUS premiered at the Institut français Firenze in Italy and has already captivated audiences with its fusion of concert, musical theatre and immersive live experience. In this Tallinn rendition, the narrative unfolds across five philosophical movements, drawing on the ideas of Julia Kristeva, Walter Benjamin, Jacques Derrida, Byung‑Chul Han and Alain de Botton. Listeners are guided through a repertoire that shifts fluidly between lied, chanson, jazz, musical theatre and rock, performed in multiple European languages.
What sets the production apart is its gradual invitation of the audience into the performance. Simple rhythmic gestures and live body music coax spectators to become part of the sonic and physical landscape, turning the hall into a living, breathing instrument. The interactive body music of KeKeÇa Body Percussion Ensemble, known for its inclusive participatory shows from Oxford University to the International Body Music Festival, anchors this communal engagement.

- Seren Akyoldaş – Soprano, researcher and concept developer. With more than 500 performances across 24 countries, Seren blends opera, lied, jazz and musical theatre to create compelling interdisciplinary works.
- Emre Oktayoğlu – Tenor, pianist and arranger. Emre has performed with the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra and composed for documentary films, bringing a polished yet experimental edge to the stage.
- Rûbar Dindar – Pianist, producer and audio engineer. Holding a Master’s from ITU MIAM, Rûbar collaborates across genres, shaping the soundscape of MANUS with precision and innovation.
