“Instrumental Love pt.2” by Nico Guzzi, as its name suggests, is a collection of six instrumental tracks crafted with love. This musical collection transcends genre and style, with each piece evolving in its own unique way.
Nico explains that the music on this album was composed and produced during late-night sessions. "The atmosphere of nighttime and the early morning hours influenced the ethereal and mysterious style of the music," he says.
The album begins with “The Fly, the Cricket, and the Butterfly,” an intriguing piece that blends electronic synths and arpeggiators with a rock-style rhythm on drums. This track creates a fairytale-like atmosphere, allowing listeners to imagine forest creatures, making it an exquisite piece that sparks the imagination.
“Voices of the Universe” features a more classical orchestration, with strings as the main focus. It starts as a slow and soothing piece, but the staccato strings gradually change the mood, creating an epic atmosphere. This builds until the piano takes over, playing the same harmonic progression with a powerful and expressive style, leading to the return of the full orchestra and ending on a dramatic note with an orchestral hit.
“Midnight Walker” is the shortest piece on the album, serving as a fast-paced interlude that builds on a bass guitar riff.
“After the Rain, Waiting for the Rainbow” returns listeners to the fairytale world introduced in the first track. Nico creates another atmospheric piece by blending electronic and acoustic instruments.
“Wind and Solar Radiation Radio” takes us back to the orchestral realm with a piece that carries a heavy, tragic mood.
The album concludes with “Chaotic Soliloquy & the Dark Matter,” the longest and most experimental piece, using only the voice. The same melody is repeated in different styles across various vocal registers. As the piece develops, the timbre of the voice becomes increasingly distorted, creating a ritualistic atmosphere.
