ERSO Announces 2027 Double‑Bass Position, Apply by Oct 15

Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ERSO), the country’s flagship ensemble, is seeking a full‑time double‑bass player to join its ranks beginning January 2027. The position offers a gross monthly remuneration of €1,900 and a chance to perform under world‑class conductors, collaborate with renowned soloists, and contribute to both large‑scale symphonic and intimate chamber projects across Estonia and abroad.

Both tuning of the instrument and orchestra tuning are permitted during the audition.

  2. Quote the reference “Double Bass” and include a link to a video recording that fulfills the requested repertoire.
  3. Deadline: 15 October 2026.
  4. Selected candidates will receive a stage‑audition invitation no later than 30 October 2026.

Note: ERSO will not provide visa assistance or cover travel expenses.

Work Life in Estonia

  • Rehearsals: 4 hours daily on working days.
  • Concerts: Usually Fridays.
  • Individual Work Week: Minimum one week every two months.
  • Annual Leave: 35 calendar days.
