Bending Grid's latest offering, "Parallax," isn't just an album; it's a cosmic voyage through the annals of synthwave and pop electronica. With 20 tracks and a stellar lineup of ten guest artists, this double album propels listeners into a retro-futuristic odyssey that seamlessly merges the past with the present.

From the onset, "Parallax" exudes a magnetic allure, drawing listeners into its pulsating rhythms and nostalgic melodies. The album's retro vibe is palpable, yet it's imbued with a modern sheen that keeps it fresh and contemporary. Bending Grid skillfully incorporates influences ranging from Björk to Scandroid, Alex, and even hints of Ace of Base and Depeche Mode, creating a sonic tapestry that feels both familiar and groundbreaking.

This album is a time machine, taking the audience to the height of synthwave and pop music in the 80s and early 90s. All the pieces are EDM-based, with no ballads in the mix. A full energetic and upbeat album from the past for the future.

What sets "Parallax" apart is its commitment to authenticity. While many contemporary releases are marred by excessive bass and over-compression, this album harkens back to a time when music was crafted with precision and finesse. The production quality is exquisite, thanks to Bending Grid's ingenious reimagining of 80s sounds using today's technology. The result is nothing short of a masterpiece—a testament to the enduring appeal of synthwave and pop music.

In a musical landscape dominated by trends and fads, "Parallax" stands as a beacon of authenticity and innovation. With its timeless sound and visionary artistry, this album cements Bending Grid's place as a true pioneer of electronic music. Take the plunge into the cosmic depths of "Parallax" and experience a sonic journey like no other.

This album is an evocative journey through a myriad of futuristic landscapes and emotional depths, each track painting vivid narratives with themes deeply rooted in science fiction and human experience. The album explores a spectrum of moods, from the intense and urgent to the introspective and contemplative, creating a dynamic and immersive listening experience.

A recurring theme throughout the album is the juxtaposition of human emotions against futuristic or dystopian settings. Songs like "Neon Heat" and "Lost In Space" delve into the timeless human quest for connection and belonging, even in a world dominated by cold technology and vast, uncharted territories. These tracks evoke a sense of longing and isolation, heightened by the alien and often harsh environments in which they are set.

The album also frequently explores the complexities and paradoxes of human relationships in these futuristic settings. "Mecha War Rendezvous" and "In Love With An Android" both present love stories that transcend conventional boundaries, questioning the nature of love and duty.

Another significant aspect of “Parallax” is its celebration of escapism and nostalgia, seen in tracks like "Party In My Time Machine" and "Retrospace." These songs blend themes of time travel and romanticized past eras with the energy and exuberance of a party, capturing a desire to relive and cherish moments of joy and passion. This nostalgic escapism is balanced by a sense of optimism and hope for the future, suggesting that while we may look back fondly, there is always something to look forward to.

One of the album's most remarkable feats is its collaborative nature. With ten featured artists lending their talents to various tracks, "Parallax" becomes a rich tapestry of voices and styles.
