Eddie Vedder – Hard Sun

A mini-adventure,

For those with itchy feet in motion at all times. With backpacks half-full for whatever the road might bring and an appetite for midnight gas station stories, we bring you Hard Sun by Eddie Vedder.

A hitchhiker journey across the 50 states in the form of a song, Hard Sun transcends its musical form and turns into a bus stop stranger edging you to take the long path to your destination, the perfect wingman/girl who not only pulls out the courage in you to go and talk to that guy/girl across the bar but also picks up the tab for you.

It’s a box of soothing music that puts a melodic map without a destination in mind. Have you ever got lost on purpose? Well, this gem is the one song you wanna have on your playlist in case you take the wrong turn down an unmarked road – probably do it on a weekend in case you’re up to your ears in work meetings.

Eddie Vedder has the ability to replace an entire band of musical instruments with his tribal-like vocals, using only a guitar and a few minor musical additions; Eddie Vedder can quite easily paint a bracket-less portrait of the Kerouac-era adventurer: A man seeking the truth of himself within others. All this is done in the form of a melodic and soothing music piece that urges each one of us to do exactly the same – seek something outside of us from within.
