In a landmark classical concert in Tallinn, the V4 String Quartet will perform every string‑quartet work of György Kurtág on Thursday, September 10, 2026. The program, staged at the Estonian Contemporary Music Centre (Pühavaimu 9), is part of the city’s ongoing Events and concerts calendar and will run from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The quartet, composed of Hungarian violinist Miranda Liu, Slovakian second‑violinist Daniel Rumler, Czech violist Tomáš Krejbich, and Polish cellist Bartosz Koziak, has built a reputation for exploring Hungarian musical heritage in a cross‑border context. Their centenary project is a homage to Kurtág, a composer whose concise, emotionally charged pieces have reshaped modern string literature.
